Almost like a seminar
Many of you will have heard the announcement from Joe Gulotti that The Talking Greenkeeper is on hiatus. A lot of us enjoyed hearing from Joe and his guests almost every week, and we are going to miss it. I hope he will still release the occasional episode.
You may also have heard that Joe regards our Holiday Extravaganza Episode from 2023 as a favorite in the extensive The Talking Greenkeeper catalog. So do I. We were both in good form for that one.
I downloaded that episode and listened to it on a recent flight. While listening, it occurred to me that the way I explained myself, and the way Joe asked questions, was about as close as one can get to attending one of my seminars, without actually being there.

I had been on a trip to the USA where I taught a seminar at the GCSAA Conference in San Diego (presentation slides and online handout available here) and then went to Brookside Labs in Ohio. The GCSAA Conference seminar was sold out, as was the January class in Harrogate. If you haven’t been able to get to these events, or weren’t able to get a spot in the seminars, listening to Joe and I discuss similar topics on The Talking Greenkeeper is pretty close to what you’d hear in the seminar.
Now for a question. The late Jon Scott would often write to me, after I shared the slides for a seminar, telling me that he wished he could have heard what I said. I’ve recorded many of these and placed them in a seminar screencasts playlist on the ATC YouTube channel. My question is, do you want more of these? If you want to have more seminar screencast videos, please send me a message to let me know, and I will record more of them.
