"The place where we are today"

I had a good talk with Dr. Frank Rossi on his Frankly Speaking podcast. Frank introduced me, and he asked, “In the turf world, did I describe you pretty well?”
I replied with an affirmative, and then I elaborated:
I was a golf course superintendent for three years. And prior to being a golf course superintendent, I was an assistant superintendent and I was an intern at multiple facilities and a regular crew member at facilities … I guess what I’m doing now, I feel like it’s unlimited. So I always have that connection [to daily maintenance work]. I can work on things that are going to be really practical … So I’m able to do things like … clipping volume, OM246, MLSN, the playability measurements that we make and looking at topdressing numbers and stuff … I realized professional turfgrass managers have questions about these things or I suspect that maybe they can get better recommendations than they’re currently getting. And so I work on that and then share that and it leads to the place where I am today.
