The wettest air this summer
I have been looking at some of the most extreme locations to grow grass. One aspect of that is the amount of water in the air. I downloaded hourly weather data for a number of cities, then calculated the daily average temperature and the daily average dew point temperature, and then looked only at the days in the first month of the most recent meteorological summer.
Then I made the chart below, that puts a point on the chart for each city at the combination of maximum dew point day in that month, along with the average air temperature on that day. This shows some hot cities with wet air, and some that are rather pleasant. Those with the highest dew points have the most water in the air.

These conditions are relevant for people, and how we experience the weather, and in some way are related to the grass as well.
