There’s an article I enjoyed reading in the September 2025 issue of Greenkeeper International. It addresses a topic I’ve also shared a bit about recently. Pesticide-free golf course management by Martin Nilsson, the head greenkeeper at Copenhagen Golf Club

I’ve worked at more than 40 golf tournaments since 1997. The 2025 Danish Golf Championship stands out among all of those because of the course. It was held at Furesø Golfklub, which is notable for being a pesticide-free course.

I took 82 flights in 2016, for a total of 221,494 km (137,000 miles), and I’ve just mapped them. That’s more than 5 times the circumference of the earth. Routes flown once are more blue, and the routes flown more often are more red.
